Phil 3.11

“That by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.”
Phil 3. 11

We will never taste death, but only resurrection. Because we are in Christ, we died with Him, and resurrected into a victorious life on earth. When we die on earth, it really isn’t death, but an entrance into eternal life. Because of Christ, we go from glory to glory. We go from victory on earth to eternal perfection and victory with God our Father.

By any means possible. This phrase struck me and has playing in my mind all day. What is my “By any means possible”? Paul’s was attaining Jesus, and with great confidence he held onto that truth. Paul had confidence in the resurrection and eternity with God. In verse 20 & 21 we read “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” Paul attained the resurrection through Jesus’ resurrection. And the same is for me and you. My driving passion, “By any means possible” is so often selfish desires and not a driving desire for Jesus and His power. Our desires drive us and our desires will either be of this world or of God’s kingdom. By any means possible we will serve God’s kingdom or our own. The fruit of our life will manifest our desires.

Father, change my desires to be those of You. Yield my will to yours. Implant Your heart and desires into me. Make my heart beat echo yours. Thank you for victory on earth and in heaven for eternity. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Application: Today I am asking the Lord to reveal to me what my “by any means possible” desire is.
